Reasons To Smile:

The Benefits of a smile:

1. You'll feel happier – force yourself to smile for a minute. When you do this you produce chemicals that tell your body and mind to be happier. Test the theory now!

2. A smile changes your mood – when your sad, angry, bored, lonely or anxious you can beat it with a smile. You'll feel more positive which is great- you'll feel better- but more importantly you'll be able to cope with life's challenges better!

3. Smiling around others alters their mood – when you smile around others, they smile back and then their mood will improve! You'll get better service in shops and restaurants, and better interactions and reactions from others. How nice would it be to know you'd made someones day by smiling at them when they had had a rotten afternoon? Also- your far more likely to get what you want when you smile - job interviews tend to go better, romantic dates are more likely to be repeated, exams and assessments are less stressful.

4. Why shouldn’t you smile? - what would you rather, be seen as a moody person, a sad person, an angry person- or a happy person? Would you rather be happy or sad? Smile and await the benefits.

5. Smiling is easier than any other expression - Some controversy exists among smile experts over whether the old saying is true, that it takes less muscles to smile than frown. I think it is. And besides, its true, if the wind changes when your frowning, your face sticks like that!

6. Smiling improves your health - It lowers blood pressure, improves your immune system, it makes your body release natural painkillers, it reduces stress...endless list of health benefits!
